You'll Thank Yourself.

The best thing about being active and fit is a better quality of life. You're able to do things you enjoy for longer periods of time, like playing sports, running, dancing, or walking around with friends.

How to Get Started

Now you know more about why exercise is excellent for you, so let's move on to how to apply this to our lives.

Switching it up is what is best.

The body adapts to novel challenges. In order to create a training effect, you need to push the body in new ways.

Example of a balanced week:
Monday: resistance training
Tuesday: High Intensity Interval training
Wednesday: Active Rest (foam rolling, yoga, etc.)
Thursday: Resistance Training
Friday: HIIT
Saturday: Yoga, Pilates, etc.
Sunday: Active Rest

What's best health-wise (putting muscle gain aside) is aerobic exercise!
It doesn't matter what you do so long as:
(1) You raise up your heart rate
(2) You maintain that heart rate for at least 30 minutes
-The time does not start until you reached you target hear rate zone number.

It doesn't matter if you walk or run, but running will let you burn more calories with aerobic exercise and you'll cover more ground which is good because most people exercise by time and not by distance.

Temporary changes produce temporary results.
Permanent changes produce permanent results.

Frequency:
1. Minimum workout days: 3 to 4
2. Maximum workouts weekly: 6
3. One rest period weekly for rest and recovery.

Let's See What You Learned

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE DISEASES AND ILLNESS THAT EXERCISING PREVENTS?

Cardiovascular disease
Cancer (Not all cancers, but most cancers respond positively to exercise).
Infectious disease

And many others!

Whats the best type of exercise you can do health-wise?

What are the two requirement for exercise to be aerobic?

  • Helps you fall asleep and sleep well.
  • Gives you more energy.
  • Helps you think better and faster.
  • Helps you handle stress.
